ReplyDeleteIm sorry tha i dont have funds to help you but if you are a tech expert and willing to spend 5 to 10 USD a month instead of a hundred euro, maybe you can be creative and try usenet instead? It will require expertise from yourself but it's possible to even backup Linux Systems to usenet, though of course you wont be able to use their servers to encode.
You can use usenet to kind of host your site.

ReplyDeleteIt should be a money making venture, nobody would hold that against you and at least we would be more secure knowing it was here to stay. So just to be clear, what are the exact hurdles stopping you coming back and what is the exact cost you need to raise before returning?
ReplyDeletehahahaha i like straightforwardness you have a point if i had that mind set it would certainly be secure something to think about ;) on a serious side of things to get things started about 60us should do to get a server i'll try and pay for hosting from my pockt and see how things go from there on out
Deleteyou can make an wordpress blog using a server for about 50$ a year and if u use DEPOSITFILES (even an free acc)as host u can earn enough to pay the server and have some $ to put away for a raining day ;)

ReplyDeleteI think you should have a goal to monetize the site as much as possible (linkbucks click thru type stuff, ads on the site, maybe even search for a sponsor that could advertise on the site, donations and any other ways - and we all turn off adblock, click advertising banners etc if you tell us exactly how to help the site make enough funds to cover all costs) so that you do not have to go out of pocket and can make a small profit (if possible) and then that money is there for you when the site needs $$ to break even and so you dont have to go out of pocket. Can you not set up another paypal account? There has to be a way to make this work without too much effort, problems and where you dont have to take money out of your own pocket.
